For the last couple of days, I've been practicing lighting setups. Cinematic backlight, more precisely. I approached this concept from a completely different mindset - I focused only on lighting and my medium subject...that's the cat, right. I left out the practical lights that movies and TV shows usually use...this is a sad, post-apocalyptic scene with no survivors (except for this beautiful creature down there), so there was no need to add the practical lights. However, cinematic lighting doesn't make any sense in reality, the main lights come out of nowhere in most cases. Logic goes out the window - but it looks good, we have to admit it.
